So to my great delight I woke up yesterday to hear all about xenForo, this new forum software created by Kier and Mike two of the Old Devs at vBulletin was Demoed privately to a select few users on Wednesday night and then shortly after the community was put up for testing.

The community available at http://xenforo.com/community/ was initial intended as just a semi-private testing ground but in under 24hours the site boomed with excitement 300 people has signed up and made 2,000+ posts… So much so that Mike was actually Quoted asking people to stop posting so much because he couldn’t keep up.

This is great news for everyone though, even if you do not plan to move to xenForo this new challenger in the arena should hopefully get vBulletin and IPB pulling their socks up to compete.

So to conclude, this software is an exciting addition. I personally can’t wait to get my hands on it and I hope you will all join me in congratulating Kier and Mike for the great work so far.
